Since the apartheid-wall between Israel and Palestina is soo conflicting with our ThinkTankThursday approach, we have made a statement.

At www.sendamessage.nl we donated €30 to a charity foundation to fund small social, cultural and educational projects in Ramallah. For this donation Palestinians have written our statement on the apartheids-wall.
Without any further political aspirations or choosing any of both sides, we made the statement to put the heads together by the gravity-written text “How to solve this? Put the heads together @ ThinkTankThursday! www.ideavents.com”.

Hi All,
This remarkable initiative caught my eye some weeks ago. I’ve waited to post my idea, because I didn’t want to influence the concept development in an early stage. Two weeks of silence after the question was posted, it is acceptable enough for me to take the stand -
My concept to bridge the gap between the Palestinians and the Israelis is an integrated idea that starts with economic cooperation. The first idea about it, started in 1994.
Please follow me while back engineering the lot:
1) In Western supermarkets we will find a single positioned display at the vegetable & fruits department under the name and pay-off: “Gaza Fruits - Fruits of Cooperation”.
2) When consumers buying oranges, lemons, mandarins etc of that brand, they also identify with the greater concept of the producing company.
3) The producer Gaza Fruits is a tri partite, a three party joint venture between Palestinian farmers, Israelian water engineers & agricultural advisors and a consortium of western royal companies.
The core of this consortium consists of the royal supermarket brand Albert Heijn (Ahold unlimited), Royal Dutch Shell and Royal Boskalis, the world’s leading dredging company. They take care of: distribution (Ahold), energy & desaltation seawater (Shell with the Concentrating Solar Power-technique) and to dredge a harbour right in front of Gaza City suitable for cargo vessels (to start with).
4) Why Royal? And why the Dutch to start with?
a) Well, the commercial companies involved are not only world market leaders, they also bear the tag “Royal”. Combining commercial targets with this kind of good behavior alone, is what I call (postmodern) ‘royal behavior’. But it goes further than that…
b) A friend of the Dutch Royal family is the Jordan prince El Hassan bin Talal. Royal highness Bin Talal is also a great and wellknown supporter of the Concentrating Solar Power-technique. CSP in short. CSP-plants need sun and seawater to produce electricity and fresh water. In the US and in Spain commercial SCP-plants are in service already.
c) As you might know The Royal Kingdom of Jordan maintains a delicate role towards the Palestinian people, their Arab brothers. In one sentence and with respect: “Please work and stay in our own territories and in Israel; our fragile economy can not support more of you.”
5) Do you see the greater picture here? When consumers ánd world leading companies ánd two (possible three -> UK [Shell]) royal families show the intention of a commercial-visionary cooperation ánd deliver the(ir) means and influence to it, than it becomes very attractive for the other two main parties to pick-up their role: irrigation experience (Israelis) and landownership & labour (Palestinians).
Let’s go back to the supermarket…
Marketing communications throughout the (e-)world has made it very clear that buying Gaza Fruits is also supporting the cooperation and Palestinian economy. After eons of battle and suffering, this is something to shop for….
